I've searched high and low for an answer to this question..

Considering many 2nd gen tacoma owners have installed the Hilux 167 Ebay snorkel, which is also popular with 1st gen taco owners and 3rd gen 4runner owners.

It serves to reason, that the snorkel below, which is also used in those communities, should fit on a 2nd gen tacoma.

    Has anybody tried this yet?!?

I went ahead and ordered one, since I can sell it locally fairly easily if it doesn't work out, but I'm wondering if anybody has pioneered this install already?

Did you get this yet? I’d love a snorkel on my 2nd gen for Moab trips, but most are crazy expensive!

I'm running this snorkel on my 1st gen Tacoma and it fits like a glove, matches the body lines on the fender perfectly. The 2nd gen fenders are different so it probably won't sit flush against the fender like it does on my truck.

Also Isn't the tubing connecting to the air box inside the fender different on the 2nd gens? I guess it wouldn't be that hard to custom make your own tubing to connect it to the snorkel. Just don't want it to collapse under wide open throttle so be sure to use good material if you do.

Personally I wouldn't want one that didn't match up with the fender/body lines, but that's me. I think it will take some customization to make this work but someone with more knowledge of 2nd gens should chime in

I want to know if 3rd gen "desert air intake" works on a 2nd gen.
