1st gen BAMF Skids!!

Got my kings coming from solo on the new truck, ordering a CBI WIY on Monday, will be need that front skid.

Come on people....

 

I'm wondering if this will be a limited run of skidplates or will @JLee be stocking some. If so, maybe some of those members who can't spring for it right now have a chance haha

 

We just need a commitment now. No money required til.... Idk. Are we prepaying when we hit 30 or when we pick them up?

 

Im actually not sure if it'll be a limited run or stocked item..

I think we have to prepay to get Jerry the Capitol up front to do the R&D for them. Hopefully he will come in and comment.

 

Once they are ready for production payments will need to be made.

They might not be stocked but will be available on the site after this sale.

 

@JLee As someone whos really interested in these, what happens if we don't hit 30? Will there be any kind of buying option at a higher price or is it just a dead idea due to lack of interest? Not trying to put excessive pressure on you, just wondering what worst case scenario is.

 

Depends on the interest we might make them but it won't be high on my priority list as there is a lot of other projects were working on.

 

Got my bumper on. Where would the front plate hook up at?

 

What bumper did you put on? There's some that only work with the same manufacturer skid plate. I'm gonna go cheap with a trail gear because it has the same factory mounting spots for a skid, but it's on thicker metal for more support (that's not the only reason, but is a good factor here). I'm assuming/ hoping @JLee will be using the factory mounts in front for these skids to make them as universal fit as possible.

 

If it uses universal mounts I should be good. I don't know what brand it is haha. I swapped bumpers with some dude and gave him some extra cash on top. The bumper was basically brand new.

 

Alright. I guess seeing as I should hop in sooner than later, put me in for a front plate.

I'd be on this if I weren't planning a radiator swap. Hope this gets made! Good to see new stuff coming out for the older trucks. Let's make a comeback like 80-96 broncos and ford Rangers!

 

3 more years and 1st gens in BC can run "Collector" plates

 

In MT I can pay registration once...and then never again due to mine being over 11 years old haha
