    Hey guys,
Can anyone measure the distance from inside bedrail to bedrail. I am looking at a 1st gen Bamf RTT bed rack for a good deal, trying to see if it will fit in my 3rd gen. Thanks!

It will not. The 2nd and 3rd gens are longer, wider, and taller than the 1st gens.

I mean, you could probably get some plate to fill in the gaps, but IMO wouldn't look/function that great...

Length isn't an issue(I have long bed). I'm more than prepared to section the middle and extend or shorten it fit between the bedrails. Not worried about height, as I want it pretty tall.

I mean the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks themselves are longer, wider, and taller than the 1st gens. The bed width is different, though.

You'd likely need to section the length and width.

From what I remember putting my rack on a third gen it hits your tie down rail thingies but that's a pretty easy fix.

Interior length and width of all Tacoma long beds is the same. GFC found that out when they went to make a first gen specific model.

The tops of the bed rails are what is different. The bed rails on 2nd and 3rd gens are much wider than the 1st gen bed rails. This means that canopies designed for 2nd and 3rd gens don't line up with the outside edge of the 1st gen beds. As Zane documented, the I.D. between the rails is the same between 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen beds.
