Always recommend trying before buying; I almost pulled the trigger on Corbeau in another vehicle and was happy I got to sit in a set; disappointed.

That and the reviews mimicked what I felt. Went Sparco and was happy I did and may get another Sparco for another vehicle.

    what model seat is this?

I'm leaning really hard ordering brackets and the trailcats.

ETA: off to look at Sparco

They are black trailcats. A lot cheaper than sparco. The Subaru seats have a nicer finish to them the Trailcats have a cheaper plastic looking set reclining system and the hole for 5 point harnes on the headrest is plastic. Not a big deal but they are not as nicely finished as luxury vehicle seats. They are priced cheaper too. I like them and would go with the same seats if I did it again.

Goal here is anything better than the OEM seats. Rebuilds here run $300-400 a seat (new foam all through) and for that I figure why not get new.

I found an excellent pair of bucket seats from a 04 4runner. The only thing I had to do was take the cushions and upholstery off the 4runner frames and put them on the tacoma frames (which fit PERFECTLY) so there was no reason to mess with them bolting back in because they were on the tacoma frame. It took me about 3 hours to do both seats.IMG_0995.jpg
