1st gen cap fit question

    Hello,
    I am interested in this rack and cap I found on craigslist here:

    Im wondering how it would fit on my 2012 2nd gen ac. It doesnt look like it was necessarily manufactured specifically for 1st gens. Ive read elsewhere on tw that the rail connection will require some modification, and that it will sit higher due to the bed height which Im fine with. I am more concerned that it could be awkwardly narrow and about the gap between the cab and the cap that looks bad as is on these photos.
