If the 4runner has the same rear axle as the taco (which im 99% sure it does) here is a write up for the rear axle seal change where it goes into the drum.

Im new hear so forgive me if this is off subject. Im looking at some tires an Rims (Wheels) for my 2001 Tacoma PreRunner. I want my tires to stick out from the body to give it that mean stance. i have 16 inch stock wheels on it. Im wanting to put Dick Cepek DC-2s on it. What would be a good tire size to acomplish that with out break9ing my wallet. All answers are apreciated. Thanks

Try to post your question here for better visability: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/

But to answer your question: Not sure what rim but weel spacers are a cheap way of getting your rims to stick out. the 1.25" spacers will make your wheels flush with your stock wheel fenders and looks good.

For DC-II's, the biggest you can get on stock suspension I believe is 265/75 R-16. As for price, you got me. As for the tire, I hear its a good tire but horrible warranty :(.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Finally did the deck plate mod yesterday. Still waiting to see if it actually improves gas milage but for the time being it is a pretty sweet noisemaker. Especially at high RPMs.

Does anyone know the diameter of the exhaust piping on an 02 pre runner? I'm trying to get a new muffler.

I believe its 2.25 (60% sure) but it might be 2.5 (%40 sure) :notsure:. You wont be getting much help in this topic. Try making a new one out in the 1st gen forums or doing a quick search. Good luck.
