I made a sub box for us double cabs and it is made to fit a thin 10 inch pioneer. It's a rear console box and can still fit five comfortably. Let me know if you guys want the details.

so, a few things. why a shallow mount sub? that spot seems that a normal sub would work. also, you shouldn't use particle board as the material. try MDF. also, 1/2" material is on the thin side and will flex some.

Other then that, keep up the great work :D

I said particle but I meant mdf, second the 1/2 and shallow mount are to conserve air space, a normal sub would need more air space and the box would need to be bigger and the middle seat person would have a tall box right in front of them which is probably not convenient and not safe if an accident were to occur. I'll get more pics in the morning when there's daylight.

Here are some more pics. The box sits right behind the center console and does not come up to high for the person sitting in the middle seat. There is one restriction though, the seats cannot slide all the way back but I'm 5'11" and with the seat as far back as it can go with the box being there it is still to far back for me. So i would assume that a some one who is 6 foot wouldn't have any issues.WP_20150531_003.jpg WP_20150531_002.jpg

Do you think a 12 would fit? I'm trying to do the exact same thing, but I already have a Rockford fosgate 12 that I bought a long time ago

Well the way that I made my box work was putting the face of the box at an angle so that I could make a 12 by 12 square that could hold the sub then I built around that and I found that if I tried to tilt it anymore the sub would hit the back of the box from the inside, so I don't think so buddy, but maybe a custom center console could hold a twelve.
