Nice! My GFC will be mounted to an Alucab shell which sits below the roof line a little on the 1st gens. I need to put some square tubing to raise the tent to allow it to clear the roof enough. Curious how much gap you have where the GFC hangs over the roof. I'm thinking 1.5 clearance will do it allowing for a little flex and bounce room.

Without measuring, I want to say it's about 2-3" from the truck roof <> bottom of GFC panel.

I appreciate it, sounds like another inch or so may be what I need to do. Thanks again

    Here's ours!

I have a question... I'm looking to buy a set of 16" black steelies that would fit the 231mm Tundra calipers the last owner upgraded but I was wondering what's the best way to buy either used or new wheels that I'll be sure fit the Tacoma and Tundra calipers. Without necessarily test fitting them. Also, 16x7 or 16x8 ? My current tire sets are 265/75/16.

Like could I specify a car's model to shops to be sure they get me the right wheels that will fit ? ex. ask steelies for a 1st gen Tundra V8 trd ?

Maybe been posted before but has anyone ever successfully converted a 1st gen double cab to have a long bed instead of short?

figured. I haven't been on this forum for years and didn't really search. haha

It's the only thing that kept me from getting a double cab since I sleep in the bed and I'm 6 foot tall so no go on the short bed. haha

I had a Colorado cab on mine before I found a Tacoma one. It fit fine but overhung around a half inch or less all the way around. Most ppl couldn’t tell it was from a different truck.

The guy that sold it to me was really cool and redid all the windows and seals. As for how it sits on the bed it hangs over so it’s almost impossible for it to leak. I have to correct myself though. I originally commented on your post while I was at work and missed the 2013 detail. The Colorado my cap was from was an earlier model. My bad.

Cool shot. Love the color contrast of the snow, earth and blue sky.

And of course the Mystic Gold Metallic.

The cap is a Jerico. Came on the truck so I don't have much more information about it.
The canoe (old town 16.9ft) is sitting directly on the bars with no padding. It does fine on the paved roads but I check it often when I hit the dirt roads. I'm going to use a pool noodle and wrap the bars for more security/padding. I use two 15ft NRS cam straps to hold it down. I don't love the bars but they get the job done.

Thank you. I love your truck. Wish mine was Impulse Red.

No issues with the canoe hitting the roof of the cab? It’s stable enough just on the topper rack?
