I think these gen 1 trucks are becoming collectible like muscle cars there like money in the bank, I would definitely keep it.

You can't. Your truck is perfect sitting just the way it is. You modded it but without overkill, resulting in one tough looking Taco. Is it black or dark green-I cannot make it out.

    Thanks!

Its the factory black sand pearl which is actually a nice color. I've been leaning towards dark green paint. So many awesome trucks in this thread that it had a lot of influence on my decision to keep it.

I mean no disrespect to 2nd and 3rd gen owners as I see the beauty in those as well. For me though, it was the end of an era once they changed from that small, unique Toyota truck style that I've loved over the years. I guess that is why I just can't let it go. Also, these doublecabs look amazing!! They're like Buick Grand Nationals to me haha.

I was gonna toss the star rims but after seeing how nice your truck looks, I may have to keep them in case I want to go back to stock look.

If they're still nice and you have room, keep them. But those wheels you have on now are to my eye, very nice and correct for this truck, unlike a lot of them I've seen.

BA099BEA-7DBF-47BE-9EB7-2FE80AEC59ED.jpg I posted up back in April but I just finished lifting this weekend so thought I would update. Just went with the strut assembly spacer and rear shackles. New pro comps at all corners. Took the 33x10.50R15’s off my 1989 4Runner and put them on here. Fit is perfect.

[IMG]My 04 Prerunner Limited dc. Just hit 150,000 and runs like the day I bought it. It had 11,000 when I got her in 2005. No big mods, bed liner, Wet Okoles for the front, stereo, LED's all the way around. The only repair was replacement of a window motor. The guys I work with are always amazed at the way it runs. I just smile and keep on driving.

Great looking truck! What are your plans for it. Look identical to how mine looked when I got it.

Well the exterior is pretty decent, with the exception of the tires rubbing inside wheel well... And I recently installed some new led headlights (which are freakin sweet btw). I'd like to actually have a security alarm put in, because I'm going crazy without one. Then eventually I'd love to get a hideaway sub installed, as well as a backup camer (because you can't see sh*t at night when you're trying to reverse, due to the tinted back windows). And I guess the previous owner had wrapped so many things (in matte black) and they're all starting to peel off... (Including the freakin' wheels I think??).

Since I'm older and don't take it off road, most of the planned changes are comfort related. Sound deadening is next, new rear springs since mine are starting to flatten, amp for the stereo. Mostly I just plan to take care of it and drive the wheels off of her. 300k is the goal right now.
