    All other approaches are just cope from what I've gathered. VE is the standard error you tune for on other types, it's just not called VE.
    ie: the Split Second piggyback "tunes" the MAF sensor based on MAP and RPM. That's just another way of looking at VE changes due to pressure. But at the same time, VE can be a catch-all for any non-ideal combustion.
