i have a flowmaster 40 series on my truck and love it. sounds great and with my spectre air filter, elbow mod, and isr removal mod (this one might not do anything) but with all those it sounds great

at low rpms i get the deep tone and growl and at WOT it screams. so basically 2-3k rpms its behaved but once you floor it and get into the 4-5k range and higher it screams. not raspy at all at least from what i can tell in the cab but i love it and mines dumped right at the rear axle or before it dont exactly remember.

i watched this video of an aero turbine 2525 on a 3.4 v6 and am really tempted to try it out and see what its like

I had a cherry bomb extreme on my 94 ext cab 22re its only a 2.4l alot of exhaust videos i saw with this truck in most cases people were using flowmaster 40's and magnaflow's but none really had that deep sound i was going for because i wanted my truck to sound as non-ricey as possible. So i took a stab in the dark and bought the cherry bomb extreme and i couldnt be happier with the way it sounded.

Heres a vid of it the day after it got installed, I imagine it'd sound great on the 3.4

I have a maganflow 14" (P# [FONT=verdana,arial,helvetica][SIZE=-1]15811) [SIZE=-1]on o[SIZE=-1]rder right now. should be here sometime next week. I will post some compari[SIZE=-1]sons and my thoughts when [SIZE=-1]it's installed.[SIZE=-1] [SIZE=-1]I settled on a MF because I just[SIZE=-1] like the low deep rumble of them, [SIZE=-1]and [SIZE=-1]the highway drone at 2[SIZE=-1].3-2.5[SIZE=-1]k [SIZE=-1]has been reported as not that bad.

My vote is for Flo-Pro's Super V muffler V42543.

I had the TRD exhaust rust through and break at the inlet weld and start rattling around. Took it to Carline in Calgary and tested out a few different mufflers. Tried out the flowmaster and found it very high pitched and ricey; threw on the magnaflow and thought it sounded pretty good, much deeper then the flowmaster, still had a bit of pitch at higher rpm's but not bad; Last one was the Flo-Pro and fell in love with it right away. Very deep, more so then the magnaflow and much more even toned.

Best Part about the Flo-Pro is that it was cheaper then the other two and much more durable material. I noticed the other two were made of a very thin stainless steel and the welds seem like they were also weak points just like the TRD muffler. The flo-pro is a very thick (and heavy) 100% aluminized steel, big thick welds, and can take a beating without fail.

There is about 50rpms of drone at around 1850rpms but its about as loud as the trd's and much shorter so its very tolerable. I highly recommend the flo-pro, so did Carline, they definitely talked it up. Good shop, showed me a few tips about welding.

Got my 14" magnaflow on yesterday and had a chance to drive it. The tone is definitly a bit deeper and better then stock in my opinion. drone isnt bad at all at 2.3-2.5k which is where I cruise at so that's good. you can definatly hear when you start getting on it though afterwards!

i need to adjust my low shifts though, it sounds killer when taking off so I constantly find myself trying to "racecar" it

    will have video soon enough

Im curious what does "drone" mean? Because you guys talk about "drone" between 2k - 3k RPMs. To me thats when my exhaust sounds the best. Yeah its a little louder than when its not between those but not that much. I have a Flowmaster Stage II i think not sure exactly.

This. Why Magnaflows are nice too cause they kind of quite down at 2300-2600rpm under constant load. Almost no drone on mine...now if you get on it it sounds like a bat outa hell though no matter what

Get dual exhaust with pinch tips and take out the muffler...... That is drone.
