So i have been doing a lot of research on upgrading my suspension setup and i have come across a lot of helpful information, however, most of the stuff is peoples personal opinion on how the suspension "feels" according to their butt dyno installed in their body.

my quest has been to find out all the different specs possible for all the different front suspension setups for the 1st gen tacoma.

for example the 1st one i came across was for the populat bilstein5100 adjustables. apparently they have a collapsed/compressed length of 13.86" and extended length of 18.62" providing a 4.76" shock travel. i could not find any info on valving which i would also like to know .

after reading this article i wanted to find out more on the exact specs for each different shock/coilover setup so that making a descision when choosing the correct suspension setup can be a more scientific approach to choosing the setup that you want.

according to this article the SAW Coilovers actually have more stroke/travel than the stock ammount the King provides.

if anyone can help out and post specs for all the different 1st gen suspension setups (icon, SAW, KING, BOSS, Toytec, 5100, OME, FOX)

    so far i got

    bilstein 5100:
    compressed: 13.86"
    extended: 18.62"
    travel: 4.76"
    valving: ?
