1st Gen Gold?! Prices going up for some rare OEM parts..

Aside from the tailgate emblems, have any of you come across any other unicorn parts that are discontinued now??

 

GBS module for the RS3200.

 

They still make oem headlights, taillights and grilles. They also make the fender flares still as well. These are all pretty pricey but still available.

 

I actually do not think there is enough money laying around anywhere for me to sell these seats, of course RIDICULOUS amounts of cash talk! Maybe for $3500, maybe...

 

Not a bad idea to pickup the rare fiberglass thin flares found on the SRunner and some older models while we can. Those are highly visible sexy oem parts indeed!

 

It’s amazing how almost all of the service/maintenance parts are still available from Toyota still and the internet keeps the pricing close to aftermarket junk part pricing. Toyota trucks last a long time because they’re made with Toyota parts!! I’m about to service my truck and put some fresh Toyota Bilsteins at all 4 corners.

Is that gear oil for the diffs? May I ask what brand your using?

 

The emblems show up for a decent price from sellers on eBay occasionally... they are still $100-$200 roughly... I just bought the “Toyota” emblem on mother’s days 2020 for $120... The seller had a bid going and a “buy it now price” and I pulled the trigger on buy it not immediately... I got lucky on that one... I also bought 2 “SR5” emblems from that seller you posted about on eBay... He is located in Valencia CA and sold me the 2 “SR5” emblems for $400 in person, and threw in the “Tacoma” emblem for free (wasn’t discontinued yet) since I was traveling... A few months later the “Tacoma” emblem is now discontinued as well, so that ended up being way worth it... Just keep looking on eBay and you will them for a decent price...

 

Well done on scooping up all that remaining first gen emblem GOLD, there is no doubt in my mind you love your Tacoma(s) at this point!!

That looks like OEM gear oil above if I had to guess.. liquid GOLD as they say!

 

I bought Lucas but I’m still not 100% sure that’s what I’ll end up using.

 

I want to get the Toyota tailgate Emblem when one pops up for a decent price.

 

Just saw a “Toyota” tailgate emblem pop up on eBay... you can probably acquire it with a decent offer...

 

I offered him $150 this morning and he rejected it without a counteroffer...now the listing isn't even giving a make offer option. I guess he wants $350. Not worth it to me at this point, but probably will be to someone else...

 

We are talking about gold here after all, there is only so much of it in the world and we cant make more of it!!

As a reference, vinyl copy stickers go for $130 and folks buy them...

@jbrandt if you can actually get me some of these no longer made TOYOTA tail gate emblems for $40, I will gladly pay you $50 on top of it for your time. No "playing"!

LOL!!!! I wouldn't want to offend him by only offering him 3x the price that he paid for it at the dealership a couple years ago...but again, I am confident that someone will buy that emblem for $350...

 

I was in this market right before you guys and was looking everyday for about 6months... what I learned was that the average price people pay for the Toyota emblems is roughly $200... everyone asks for north of $300 and maybe I’ll be proven wrong and someone will pay that price, however I haven’t seen that... last one I saw that went for $300 plus was a combo set of Toyota and Tacoma
