    I imagine ill be staying under 300hp but wouldn't hate to get close to it. My original goal was to have a little more power than a stock 1GRFE

    The stock injectors are what 250-260cc?

    In my head 400cc sounds about right and 650cc seems excessive but this is all still pretty uncharted territory for me.

    I agree.

    650cc would be good if you were using flex fuel sensor and started adding more ethanol content. Also they are readily available.

    Let's see what @Speedytech7 is running..

    I was just thinking 650 would leave plenty of overhead for ethanol and then you had already mentioned it.

    My Ac wires were backwards on my boomslang harness. I believe they are Ac1 and Act. Had to switch them in the connector to Haltech. Just a heads up, issue may have been fixed by now. They have alot on their plate.

    I've heard that before and thought about asking for it to be corrected when I ordered mine. @Speedytech7 sent them an email about it and said he noticed it was corrected on another harness after that so hopefully that's the case but i appreciate the heads up regardless

    I'm running those 650s and so are two friends, they control easily but they're pretty spendy.

    With a progressive controller I don't think it is unreasonable to spray as low as 1750-2000rpm

    These 5VZs don't ping much unless you get really greedy with timing though, my 3RZ pinged a lot more you could start spraying at a lower sensed intake temp I suppose too. I'd use a two axis generic output to essentially make progressive spray control if it were me... map rpm and boost and use a conditional to trigger the maps engagement with intake temp

    If they last as long as what's on the truck now it will be money well spent.

    It's also not far off from the cost of not buying new OEM knock sensors.

    I was also wonder how much one of those chevy LS coolant temp sensors for the Haltech might cost.


    Did you need to do anything with the smaller coolant temp sensor by the firewall? I think it's only for the guage

    For your specific application I would recommend leaving your MAF in place for the stock computer (trans controller) to get a load measurement and to leave the coolant sensor alone as well since your stock computer will still look to it as well. When it comes time for trans control, something I am admittedly short on time to work on right now, then moving the Haltech to a full standalone setup with differing sensors can be accomplished. The GM sensor is only like $13 by the way on rock auto and you can get the pigtail for it for another $3

    well it sprays either on or off, so how would that be progressive?
    I would think of that more as variable spray control?

    It's the Delphi one

    Yeah but to use it effectively it would be worth wiring in a solid state relay to control the pump via PWM so it could produce a range of low rates and remove whatever controller/relay it has now. Just being binary would be tough at lower RPM, just too much spray.

    it is wired in with a solid state relay.
    I remember talking about this before and the conclusion was something along the lines of there isn't a way to do it progressively easily with NSP. I'll have to dig through my previous messages about this. I would love to make it progressive because that was always the original intention.

    With your ECU we cannot use the progressive function because it isn't supported... but we can make a progressive function still, just can't use a pre-canned function. But the good news is the new firmware version gave us a TON more generics and virtuals to mess with. It's something I'm willing to mess with if you decide you want to.

    Cool yea I definitely do and will take you up on that, but will likely wait until I move my air temp sensor so I can tackle it all at once.
    Need to fix my trans crossmember and a few other things before that happens though....

    I did a lot of Haltech things today but they were all on an RX-7, rewiring much of it's engine harness to better use the features of an Elite 2500.

    Nah, stock twins but reconfigured for parallel function rather than sequential. This winter it is probably getting a larger single and DBW though, so I'm also preparing for that.
