If you haven't already, consider a trans cooler and valve body upgrade. I ended up slipping the clutches after about 2 years with boost. I had a large B&m cooler and the line pressure maxed out. Then the junk yard trans was exactly that, junk. So a 5 speed went in after that.

 

Good call, we did that to @Digiratus' truck and it really firms it up. Stock is super slow and soft, lot of time and heat buildup on a shift.

 

Its had a small Hayden trans cooler on for about 2 years now and I installed a TransGo shift kit before the Turbo went on

 

I'm not really looking for more power I just want to manage it better.
Whatever power I have now at 6,000ft with 3-5psi

 

At least get above supercharger power levels, which is EZPZ. 7-8psi on a turbo is well above what the SC can do

 

Gotta write magnuson a strong letter asking for a drop in rotor assembly to bolt to your old MP62 manifold and intake chamber. That 1320 on the 2.7 would be nice and make less heat

 

what would 7-8 up here look like below 2k ft

 

You wouldn't necessarily need to twist my arm to get more power but I should probably update my motor mounts before I get too crazy.

 

yea the 1320 would be sweet. That or just a sandwich intercooler to go between the rotor and manifold.

 

I feel like if the clearance is there it would be super easy to have a 1-in thick intercooler core made for that.

I've been really happy with the Transgo kit. I will say shifting between 1-2 in 4LO gets annoying when I'm just puttering down a forest road, another 2-3mph or before shifting out of first and it would be in a sweet spot otherwise It's great when I'm getting after it and driving a little more aggressive.

Gears and tires could help. I bought these ST MAXX's with the intent of putting 35's on when they wear out and I've also said I'd have 35's by the time I turn 35 we will have to see what comes first.

Did you use the "truck kit" or the "sports car kit"?

 

Truck setting, I figured i could always go back in and drill more out but it doesn't work very well the other way around.

 

That's what I was thinking too. dunno if theres the clearance for that though.
Also I don't wanna know what a custom intercooler like that would cost..

 

Next time I go visit ranch built here I will see what they say. They build intercoolers all the time for race vehicles, I'd imaging they could give me a rough cost

 

sweet ya lmk. Don't think it would be worth it for over 1k. also would need all plumbing and pump setup.
