1st Gen Head and Tail light mods- Lets see em!

Not Good pics but its something I had The clear Headlights, and Krylon/VHT Corners and Tails done to perfection... Looked awesome!!!

Looking to do something with my 03. Thinking the black JDM headlights, still deciding on the tails.

Projector retrofit using mini d2s projectors...5000k morimoto bulbs and ballasts, ccfl halo's, black corners, tinted turn signals and tinted tails.

 

Did you do the retro yourself?
if so... trade a retro for some of my armor?

 

Yeah did it myself...was a fun project about to do another on my gf's corolla. And yeah that sounds like a sweet deal! What kind of armor we talking?

 

Thats awesome man! Got any night shots of the lights? I'd like to see the output and cutoff on the projectors.
I had some D2S TL projectors w/ BMW shrouds retrofitted into blacked out housings on my '07 Tacoma that I sold back in July and now I really want a setup like yours(minus the halo's) for my red '03.
As for the armor, it just depends what your interested in and what the total cost of the projector retro would run. I would do a nice even trade cost for cost, armor for retro.

How do you like your headlights? You dont have a link for them do you? I cant decide between the halos and the crystal clear ones.

 

Here's my 95.5:

Top = before(stock sealed bulb)
Bottom = after(diamond crystal headlight/replaceable bulb conversion + clear parking lamps & turn signals)





Top = before(stock red/amber/reverse)
Bottom = after(red/clear)

I'm clueless about most this stuff, but I like the stock brake lights too but would like to tint them. How did you do or how do I achieve this look??

 

its not too hard to tint the taillights i pretty much just followed a youtube video

i used TSP - TriSodium Phosphate - Paint Prep Cleaner to prep the work and some alcohol to get a nice good bond with the paint and for my lights i did 3 coats main 1 coat of the toyota emblem and no coats on reverse

and then took off everything and sprayed it down with like 5 coats of clearcoat

funny thing is that was my first time doing it and it couldnt hav came out any better imo
