Feeling a bit crazy with this. 2001 Tacoma 3.6 TRD 4x4 auto hubs. Buying parts for the front suspension, watching videos, etc. I'm seeing two different setups: Upper ball joint pressed into the knuckle vs upper ball joint bolted to the UCA. A look at my truck and it has the first kind. Parts ordered from (I know) Rock Auto get the Mevotech/SPC with the ball joint attaching to the UCA.

Is the UCA+ball joint for the non-4x4 base models? Sorry, sounds dumb as I type it but I want to make sure what's in my truck is right (4th owner so who knows). There's a lot of love for the real SPC UCA but I don't see how they would work with the "bj pressed in knuckle" thing my 4x4 has.

Look, here's what I'm talking about with Rock Auto. The UCA listed for the 4wd has the upper ball joint attached to the control arm and the bolt heading down into a spindle. The UCA listed for the prerunner obviously fits for the upper ball joint when pressed into a knuckle. My 4x4 has the ball joint pressed into the knuckle. Is Rock Auto listing the parts incorrectly?
