I'd love to see some of these brackets built that will hold a 50" lightbar. I have a 50 that I am still trying to figure a way to get it on the roof.

Does anyone make a clip on bracket? I really don't want to drill into my room but I really want a light bar

Drill into the rain gutter. It's easier than going through the cab. Well, kinda. Unless you use those nutserts in the cab. Of course you'll need to fab a bracket up yourself cuz I don't think anyone makes a bracket that works on the rain gutter for first gens.

Edit: Or you could get a carr mount. they clip on to the rain gutter. I just think it'll look funny with a light bar. Plus you'd have to get a light bar either short enough to fit with the light bar mounts on the end or get a bar like the vision x ones with underside mounting brackets(which also can be mounted on the ends as well). I think that would look good.

Actually I bought a CARR light bar. You still have to drill into the cab to fit the bracket for a Tacoma. It's an additional kit that you have to get if you have a Tacoma.

Working on my reinstallation of my lights in my new bumper valance I ordered up. Decided I wanted an even more sturdy mounting solution so I made up a custom bracket this time instead of drilling two big holes in those tabs. Plus I wanted the 20" bar to sit back inside the hole more to make it look cleaner and more flush rather than sticking out of the bumper like an inch. Came along quite nicely! Very sturdy. Doesn't budge a bit. Having it mounted the other way with the studs through the tabs would cause it to loosen and swivel up and down a hair. Eventually making it point down a little bit. The collision center that reinstalled it in the replacement valance they provided did a shit job so it was really loose and pointing down at a mad angle. No Bueno..

Anyways... Here's a couple teaser shots. Gonna try to get my two 8" bars reinstalled in the turn signal area next week. I'll probly do a write-up on the whole process when I'm done. Thought I'd share here for now.

Update: 20" reinstallation completed. Next up to reinstall is the 8" bars in the turn signal housing. Then I'll also be ordering up another set of 8" for flush mount reverse lights in the rear bumper:D
