Hey guys, is there an aftermarket bracket for the light bar for inside bumper? Or would I need to make one myself?

Mines a double row. But its not mounted flush with the bumper. It's behind it

Yeah mines a single row vision x evo prime clone and it fits almost perfectly in the lower valence flush with the bumper and of course after cutting out the two middle support tabs. Tight squeeze. So anything else such as a double row will have to be mounted behind that area.

Edit: I can take a measurement if you want of my bar. And you can compare that with others if you really wanna flush mount it. Another thing too, is that the area between the two tabs, is a perfect 21" iirc. So after I changed my cheapo 21" from superbrightleds.com to the vision x clone 20", I had to make slight adjustments on my mounting.

Yeah bout 21" sounds about right cause my 21.5"(mount to mount) is perfectly lined up between those tabs

Bumping this for a question about mounting in the lower valance on these trucks.

HOW are you guys doing this? Do you just screw a mounting bracket into the plastic? Do you make your own bracket? Is there somewhere with a writeup because I can't seem to find one and I don't want to be stupid and mount lights then have them fall out.

Well it depends. If you wanna get a single row 20"/21" it'll fit in the valence opening and mounted on the plastic tabs after cutting out the middle tabs. But a more practical and "permanent" option guys do is mount it to the crash bar beams behind the valence. Either getting one exactly the length of those crash bars, or using a piece of flat stock mounted across that with the bar mounted on top of that flat stock. Not sure if any 1st gen guys have made a write-up on it. I think there's one in the lighting section for a second gen with pics. Same principle.

I welded in a piece of angle between the frame rails. Drilled it or the mounts, and attached the lightbar.

Cool. This seemed to be a popular option. I found a 14" overall length spot for a good price and I was wondering if adding the angle iron would make it the correct height or too tall.

We held it up and marked on the frame where it'd work the best. Think it ended up being quite near the bottom of the frame rails

Any ideas on how to mount a double row behind the valence with a 2 inch body lift? I don't have the crash bar there anymore

You could do something like I did here
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/1st-gen-led-light-bar-ideas.346488/page-4#post-10153948

But it probly won't be as sturdy as mine as it sits inside the valence and helps support it. You could make a couple l brackets in the middle of the flat stock like I used in the back, and mount them up and over the bar and attach those l brackets to the top lip of the valence for extra support. But I still don't see it being all that sturdy.. Idk. Just throwing out an idea.

Yeah I saw yours that's the direction I was leaning towards but from my understanding only a single row will fit in there. I was hoping for a double row but I might just have to settle for that. Thanks man

Might just be a matter of welding a piece of angle in higher on the frame or across the frame rails.

Well I meant extending that bracket I made further back. To have it sit flush with the back of the valence. But Idk, the more I think about it, I don't think that'd be a good idea.

And the single row I have is great. They make the same one with the 4d optics in it AND with 15 watt leds now. The one I have is 10k lumens. The upgraded one is now 17k iirc. Same dimensions and everything. Just different leds and optics. Think it's going for $152 iirc. I paid $180 for mine back then. And I personally think they are better than any double row, unless you're getting a nice name brand one.
