DC is a tight fit but with the backseat plastic wannabe table top removed it will spare enough space in my opinion.

What's the quantity limit and price point you thinking?

Would this be a panel that goes infront of the rear window?
If so my guess would be a minimum of 10 units and each one would retail for maybe $200 per panel.

This can go up or down $50 or so.

The biggest factor is how many panels can be cut from a single 60"x144" aluminum sheet so having some initial measurements definitely helps.

For group buys I will always make at least 1 prototype first. I want to make sure the product I sell is guaranteed to fit properly

Yes. I've looked at and thought about making my own but having the ability to get a proper one cut would be much more better.
Maybe a hole (removable panel) in the middle to allow window function.

Sounds about right to me on all accounts. That's market price and totally understand getting the peoducts worth from a sheet.
Would that be bare or powdered?

That would be a raw aluminum finish.
As soon as I get ahold of a 1st gen to measure I'll draw up some designs and make a more official group buy post to get everyone's design input.

The black color is hard to pick up with the scanner so I'd need to spray a powder onto the truck. It wipes off easily but something to consider.

If you don't mind the powder (I would obviously clean it off after the scan) let me know and we can schedule a time to meet up

Damn, I work in irvine and already have my seats removed for storage back there.
Double cab though. Maybe I'll buy some, or let me know if you ever need another Dbl Cab.

I just had my truck scanned last Thursday. Now, I'm just waiting on Ryan to let me know when the panel is here so I can head up his way for the fitment test. I'll post some pics and feedback once I get it!

30B13A70-25B6-4152-98AC-5CAB7A15B028.jpg Here it is in all its glory, fellas! Overall, I’m very pleased with the quality, fit, and finish. I plan on putting some sound deadening material to help reduce the extra noise I have after removing the back seats and trim pieces and painting it black. I’ll post more pics when I make some progress on it, but that’s gonna have to wait until after I replace my rear wheel bearings. Last note, Ryan is a good dude and I’m glad he’s looking out for us 1st Gen guys—make sure to spread the word!

i got a 97 regular cab in green. I'd be interested in participating in this project but i dont know how to remove the interior. I could probably take if off if there is a guide somewhere that I can follow. Let me know if you still need a truck.
