Bone stock 3.4L V6, clocked in between 20 and 22 MPG the past few fill-ups. I work the throttle slowly and go easy on the brakes. Drives people crazy around here who like to go fast.

Yeah, hypermilers drive me nuts too. Specially when they take their sweet time at an intersection, only to take off as soon as the light gets to yellow, or red.

My head's aching over here thinking about mine. I'm getting less than 16 mpg, and mines a 99 with only 120k miles. Could it need some seafoam? Or a new fuel filter? I've got some slightly aggressive 32 "s on mine. I've used lucas oil injection cleaner a few times recently, and noticed nearly no change. Also been considering removing the elbow and airbox from above the fender (rather than a deckplate mod). I've only had the ole girl for less than half a year, so I'm high key uneducated haha. Any guesses fellas?

Sorry to gravedig, I'm curious what factors inside the engine contribute to MPGs besides driving? I have a 99 reg cab 4x4 manual, I drive mainly between 2k-3k rpm (engine doesn't really like below 2k) mostly highway miles. My MPGs are usually sitting around 16-17. From replys on this thread and fuelly it seems it should be closer to 20. I just replaced my fuel filter and I think I need to get my injectors cleaned but curious what other things I could look at?

Have the valve clearances ever been checked?
