anyone have the 1st gen flaps on their 2nd gen? I hate how long and rigid (thats what she said) the 2nd gen mud flaps are. I would like to do the swap but want to see how the mounting holes work and how they look. Also anyone have suggestions where I can get a set of 1st gens? Thanks for all the input!

It has been done, I've seen the rears swapped out bc the owner liked the oldschool 4WD mudfaps verses the 4x4. I can't remember his screen name but he's on the Expedition Portal.

the old ones also don't snap off on speed bumps or damage the paint on the flares.

if you leave them off it makes it look alot cleaner. they put rock guard in the paint at the bottom of the truck so you wont have chips. hope this helps

I like the mud flap look but don't like that they are made out of plastic. also being in Michigan to keep the truck clean and stone chip free mud flaps are kind of a must. It looks like the 1st gen on the 2nd gen can be done I am just not sure how the mounting holes line up. Thanks again for the input.
