This is amazing man! I'm really looking into working on my truck later in the future to converting it into a complete long travel beast! It's amazing to see the progress of someone else truck. You have done quite a lot to your truck man! Really impressed!

Why did you mount the leafs on the outside of the frame?

The kit is a Ranger kit that works for our trucks with a wider axle. It aids in better cornering, handling at speed, and frees up space in the bed. The Tundra axle provides the extra width to fit shocks and springs outside of the frame.

Ok I never thought about putting the spring outside the frame for that reason. I mostly see the shackles mounted on top of the frame n wheel spacers to mount the shocks outside. Thanks for the info

Its how the kit is designed. switched the compression shackle for a tension shackle. this allows more spring arch with out lifting the rear crazy high.

Correct it was designed for a ford where this is the stock style set up. i doubt its going to free up bed space, the shackles contact the bed floor so the bed isnt going back on. Instead ill be doing aluminum fill panels like on a frontier i saw on dezert rangers

Looking at the other guy's truck that has this kit I noticed that he had some holes cut out that probably allowed the shackles to pass up through the bed - good to know!
