I paid just over $11k for my 02 DC SR5 Pre Runner with a 2.7 4cyl when bought it last year from the original owner . At that time it had 54k on the odometer and I've only put 6k on it since

I've got all the original dealership paperwork including the window sticker .it came dealer optioned with the 265 /75 -16 tires and the original owner had Toyota install the supercharger and K&N CAI and suspension spacer lift

since I've had it I've had it I've put new tires / wheels and a nice sound system plus a Doug Thorley Tri Y shorty header

I've had numerous offers to buy my truck over the last year and I've told them no !!! , however if I did sell it I wouldn't take anything under $20k for it

Tacoma's aren't worth anything in Chicagoland. They are a terrible DD in this area because the frame will be rotten in 5 years regardless of the condition you bought it in. You can find DC's for $6-$8k all day and Xtra cabs for sub $5k.

Wow, that's a great deal with 29K, like you bought a brand new truck! Very nice.

Yes I was shocked when I saw it list on craigslist (wasnt even looking to buy anything... just cruising the posts). The previous owner took really good care of it, rarely drove it, kept it in a garage and did lots of preventative maintenance. I live in California now and prices are high here. I can easily sell it for double but I am going to keep it forever.

Paid 6k for my 99 TRD Xtra V6 5 speed 4x4 with 127k miles. Bought it early February. Paid too much for it given what I've had to do (see my thread Frame Rehab), but now that I'm nearly done with it I'm glad I have it. Don't plan on ever getting rid of it unless I absolutely have to. Interior is near mint, body has a few dings, and a couple really small rust bubbles forming in various places. Will be rehabbing the suspension early next year after my wife recovers from the shock (no pun intended) of having the garage taken over for 3 months by my folly.

Given the prices I've seen on craigslist and other places 6k is a great price for the miles. When you factor the nearly 2k I've spent on the rehab it's still a good price.

I've had a few people look at mine but no commitments yet. What would you guys say it's worth?
'01 Double Cab 4x4 V6 TRD Off Road 195k miles, not modded, very clean, runs great, 8/10 inside and out, from southern Utah with solid frame.

According to KBB in my area (South Florida) the truck with the miles you have in good condition is worth about $6,500.00. See below. If it in above "good" condition and it has t-belt recently done and maintenace history try asking more and see what happens, I would do a really good detail clean everything really good and make a good first impression when somebody comes out to see it. The problem with KBB though it's that it doesn't always accurately reflect what the trucks are really selling for in your area...some areas like SoCal they're in such high demand that a clean one will fetch way over KBB. Not saying its fair or right, but the market will usually have a bigger influence on value. Its a good starting point but NADA is a good site to check for local numbers.

Yeah that's the thing, KBB is way below what the market price is - especially for a 4wd 4 door. Civics and Corollas are closer to actual values but they're not even in the ballpark for Tacos.

So if you're looking to buy one, definitely show the seller KBB and NADA, maybe they'll bite :fingerscrossed:

KBB shows my truck is worth (in excellent condition) less than 3500 USD. That is the price of the new frame (and my frame is like new), so I guess the rest is free (including BFG KO2 with less than 1000 miles on it).

On the other hand when I check KBB on used Merculy Sable back in 2001 it showed 6.5K dollars private party, where you could buy it at the dealer for less then 4k out the door (I sold mine for 3.5k which was quite good deal for me). Since then I learn that KBB means nothing. It is just a computer algorithm to calculate some value using whole bunch of variables and factors that have nothing to do with reality.

what do you think a 2002 single cab 4x4 with 12k miles is worth these day?
original tires, new rear shocks, new exhaust (sitting was rusted from condensation WNY) rear tailgate had damage from neighbor hitting it, was replaced.
owner bought it new and got sick never drove it.

12k miles??? Was that a typo?

If not you should be able to get at least $15k for that out here in CA I'd imagine.

People either love the single cabs or don't, but those that do would kill for a clean 1st gen 4x4 one with practically no miles on it I'm sure.

That's crazy low miles! 4cyl or 6cyl? Those tires need to be replaced before driving but man, what a find.

Just saw that it's located in upstate NY and the exhaust had to be replaced from rust....I'd be scared of what the frame probably looks like. Be a damn crying shame if it was ruined because of a bad frame....
