30 to 50% more is not a little by any stretch. You just confirmed that there are not that many, and that they are pricey!

BTW, go ahead and post the links!

They sure hold their value. I looked for just about 2 months and found this: (Pic attached)

    2002 Prerunner Doublecab
    106k miles
All recommended maintenance done by Toyota
All receipts for work including the original window sticker
    New brakes
    New tires

In really good condition. Kbb dot com listed private party value at $11,500

I paid $10,500 - Original window sticker back in 2002 was $19k and change. Seller listed it on Friday the 13th, I saw pics on Sat 14th and made him an offer over the phone. There is a LOT of JUNK out there.

Prior to that, I had a Nissan Fronter 4 cyl XE - Bought it with 95k on it for $7000 and sold it with 99k on it for $7600.

No TRD on mine and a 4X2 - I wish I could find a couple of more like it. I'd bet I could turn a $1k profit and it'd still be a deal for someone.

I'm driving this till the wheels fall off and with 106k miles, it's just broken in.

i paid 9k for mine a year ago. 120k miles, trd 5 speed x cab. had ome, wheels tires and snorkel. And after looking for 6 months in CO i got it for a steal at 9k.... most were 10 or 11 stock with more miles.

So I just saw an ad (craigslist) for a truck like mine with slightly more miles and theirs had previous front end damage. They were asking $10k. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/cph/cto/2813753298.html

the only custom thing I saw on their truck were chrome 15" wheels and an optima battery.

    Mine has a
    -fat bob's 2.5" lift
    -32" tires
    -KMC wheels
    -rock sliders
    -front and rear tube bumpers
    -cb radio and antenna
    -stereo with ipod hookup
    -aux. lighting
    -afe intake
    -dynomax muffler
    -tinted windows
    -pop-n-lock
    -lo jack
    -basic alarm

Mileage is the best thing to be flexible on with tacomas. Condition, maintenance, and price are most important. Remember 1st gens last forever if taken care of properly, even if not they'll still last forever but just be in shitty shape.

it is.. My gf doesn't like the color.. :(
yeah, i don't care too much about mileage but it should be priced accordingly. My realtor's 5 4runner has 291k

For sure. I meant more in the sense of I had a certain price range in mind when looking for a tacoma, and I could get a much better truck, in much better condition, that would last longer if I got a nice one with higher miles rather than a beat one with less.

    I'd really like a 4runner and a small pick-up.

No I meant I posted my truck on Craigslist. That is a nice 4runner and would consider it.

    Too many to list.
I just bought a 2004 Tacoma PreRunner 2wd SR5 TRD Double-Cab Automatic with power windows/locks/mirrors, remote keyless entry, 132,800 miles, great condition, paid $12,250, got 3.84% for 60 months at local credit union.

He was asking $12,950, I was only able to get him down a little, CU said they'd loan up to $15k on it...
