As for ordering from Ebay or Amazon, sure if you have Prime you can return it easily enough, however IMO it's a waste of my time. I've been able to plan my schedule around a part coming in only to have it be the wrong or defective part before. Sure, I can return it, but I just had my weekend screwed because Amazon doesn't know what parts actually fit your truck.

Even for non car part stuff, like a webcam I recently got that was defective, or a nerf gun for my son (let's be real, it was for me), I'll get a damaged or mis-shipped order, or it won't come when they said it would. I recently ordered my new welder from Amazon. It came, I got excited only to find out it looked like it had been run over by a fork lift. It was a giant hassle to return, they took several weeks to "process" my refund, even AFTER I knew they received the broken one (I had UPS tracking). They sat on my $900 for over a month, or would have if I didn't dispute the charges.

I just don't like my time being wasted like that. I will waste my own time, thank you...

There was one exception for ordering OEM parts from Ebay, and that was aircabinman's timing belt kit. That was only because there were dozens of members who had vouched for the kit, and even then I was still skeptical and did my own research and he seemed to check out. Was still taking a risk but hey, it worked out.
