I've asked this question before with little response.
My 02 dbl cab 4x4 is in serious need for a new rear bumper. I was trying to find a plate style with no luck. It seems like everything i find needs to be custom made/ordered. Does anyone know of any companies making a standard plate style or a nice pipe style?
Near Ohio would be a definite plus, I'm always up for a road trip. (within a state or two)
Also is it possible to use my existing hitch with an aftermarket bumper?

    Any help would be appreciated

For plate bumpers, I think you're rather limited.

Demello is the only one I've been able to find that actually lists a plate bumper for 1st gen. They call them "pre-runner" bumpers, whatever that's supposed to mean (since they dont have a non-pre-runner version... Do the Prerunner/non-prerunners have different mounting points for bumpers??) Dont really care for their half plate, half tube design though.

I like what All Pro has done for a plate bumper, but regretfully, they look like they're only for the 2nd gens. There's a few others that are also really good, but no one wants to do one for a 1st gen anymore.

About the only one I've been able to find is on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyo...ptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Not an awful price and shipping seems reasonable, but no clue on quality, etc. From what I can tell, he seems to do this for a living so they cant be too bad, can they? Welds look good to me from my untrained eye and metal seems to be thick. His web site doesn't exist any longer though, so that does cause me some concern.

In further looking, CBI did have a plate bumper that would be my first choice as far as looks goes. http://cbioffroadfab.com/v-web/gallery/album04 I like the Trail Rider 1.0 (but with no swing arm with out reinforcing the frame)
