Somewhere back in this thread I rememeber them saying they work with DCs, but you need to notch or cut a slot in the plate to accomodate the DC cab mount.

I sent my truck in for some work and I'm getting my plates installed. The price was a bit higher than expected at $100 but I know they'll do a good job. That includes prep and paint. The plate has to be cut about 5" (that's a complete estimate, go measure yourself) from the front end.

Look in the 1st gen classified there is a guy selling his. He decided not to install them. Good on him for not backing out though.

They're not for boxing the frame, just reinforcements

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Man and I just noticed they didn't even weld every hole on the plates man that sucks the welds do look pretty jacked but it is a pain in the ass to run a nice bead on these with the bed on.The ideal way to weld these on would be to remove the bed or have glass fenders so you have room to work. I found my mask was hitting the fenders so i couldn't get in there close to my bead and that makes it hard to run a neat bead.

X3 these are just welded on the outside of the frame rails not a box kit.

wow i didnt notice they didnt weld every hold either!! that sucks i would go back and rip them a new ass hole, and make them re do it and have them prep it.

fireturk as already said they go on the outside, alot of people do this and box their frame. ill be doing that.

I won't be making these for a while guys. I would like to get rid of the rest I have in stock. Mercer fab is on hiatus and I won't be promoting my stuff much/at all any more. It has always been a side project for me, but now my real job has me working and living out of state and I can't do any fabbing for other people. Please email me if you would like a set. Once they are gone, then that could be the last ever made. Thanks guys

ok guys, i just picked up a set from jeremy. how should i go about prepping them? i've never welded before, but i'm sure my brother can handle this task. grind down to bare metal, clamp them on, tack a few spots, and weld away???

I've been getting a bunch of messages lately on these frame plates, i dont have many left. mercer fab is no longer in business due to me going back to my real job as a pipefitter. But if there is enough interest I would be willing to do another group buy and make another batch of these for you guys. Thanks again for the last one, you guys are all great.

Ps. If it happens I'm going to need someone to manage it on the forum for me and keep the list up and help pimp it. because I just don't have the time right now. That person will get a free set.
