    Sup guys! 1995 Tacoma 4x4 5 Spd 3RZ

I know this has been discussed before, but I have never seen anyone post pics or info regarding the process. I have a few pics I took while swapping my Bench seat to 60/40 and I wanted to share. I didn't photograph EVERYTHING because It was 100+ degrees outside and I was just trying to get it done before I overheated.

Excuse the wiring for my sound system LOL I re-wired everything prior to bolting everything down don't worry.

    Anyway, here it is:

The bench seat utilizes 4 bolt holes on the outsides and 2 bolt holes for the seat belt buckles.

The new seats utilize 4 bolts per seat total of 8 and 1 bolt for the seat belt buckle.

All of the holes except for 3 needed for the swap are there and the carpet just needs to be cut.

2 Holes need to be drilled for the rear bolts. The spots are already there from the factory, but they are plugged and need to be drilled. I used a center punch, then a 1/4 bit, followed by a 3/8 bit.

These 2 holes need a large shoulder nut and large washer used when putting the bolt through. Seeing as I had a donor truck, I used the 2 long bolts I took out of the other truck and had nuts and washers needed. I will take photos and edit this when I can. The bolts will protrude in the driveshaft tunnel.

The seat belt buckle assembly will utilize the same hole on the passenger side as the old seat belt, BUT, it has an extra guide pin for which a hole needs to be drilled. There is no spot already for it, but you just put the buckle where it needs to be aligned with the seat belt bolt hole and drill where the pin needs to go. Easy peasy.

NOTE: When installing the passenger seat the bolt holes may seem that they do not line up! That means the seat rails are just slightly tweaked due to spring tension and you just need to go ahead and use your arm muscle to force them to line up. They fit.

Also, don't be afraid to cut the holes in the carpet a bit bigger than JUST for the bolt or pin to go through....I just cut 1 inch size patches out where I know the bolts or pins will go so that I didn't have to play around with finding the hole (insert dirty joke here)...You won't see the patches cut out.

    And Done!

I will be replacing the carpet and interior out anyway this was more of a dry run with my crap yellow carpet...it used to be grey. Hope this helps!

@Russianman92 , just ran across this post while doing some searching. My Fat ass would really enjoy the size of that new Drivers side seat. How is the cushioning compared to the regular buckets, which I think suck. looks good by the way.

Cushioning is much better! Firmer for sure! Then again, my original bench seat was so worn that I had a towel under the bench cover to compensate for the worn out foam. The size is pretty good! The biggest thing that I enjoy is that it has the slight slopes/wings on the seat back that keeps you in the seat when you make sharp turns and the middle flip-out arm rest is awesome for resting your arm between gear changes.
    And thank you!
