Anyone with a regular cab running an aftermarket front bumper with winch? I have a 1998 Regular Cab with a full OME Kit. I currently have 880 coils and I’m happy with the way the truck sits but I’m not sure what coils I need to step up to for the added weight of the bumper/winch(154lbs). On my previous build, I ran 883 coils but that was a 2000 Extended Cab, 3.4L with a heavy Relentless Fabrication Predator bumper and winch. I’ve researched everything I can but still want some first hand experience. On Wheelers website they list 880, 881, 882 and 883. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I have 880 coils and an aftermarket bumper that’s about 60 lbs. heavier than stock. That resulted in 2.25” of lift which hasn’t settled at all after 2 years. When I get a winch I’m leaving the coils alone, I’d like the front to be a little lower.

Thanks for the info. I don’t think 883 coils are necessary but I’m wondering about the 881 or 882. My truck sits pretty level and I’d like to stay where I’m at lift wise after I’ve added the bumper and winch. What bumper are you running?

5100's with OME 883, Dakar's, SCS Ray 10, 285/75/16 Cooper STT Pro, LCE header, Magnaflow exhaust, ARE shell, Addicted offroad front plate bumper with Warn VR8S
I am wondering the same thing. My last single cab, I had stock coils and bilstein 5100's set at the second notch with an addicted offroad bumper with winch. It rode semi stiff. I am thinking 882 with Dakar pack to get my full 3 inches on this truck

Yea, I keep leaning towards the 882s but I’m hoping someone will chime in with some first hand experience. I messaged the guys over at Rogue Off-road to see what they suggested.

Are you planning on going full OME? I have never used the OME shocks or leaf packs. Would love to know what package you decide on and how it looks

Yea, full kit from Wheelers Off-Road. This is the third build I’ve used the OME Kit on and have no complaints. I’ve had that lift on my regular cab since last August. I added the greaseable shackles as well.

I have a Trail Gear low profile winch bumper. It’s on the light end of aftermarket bumpers. I’m hoping a winch will lower the front a little.

I bet @Jiveydude could point you in the right direction. He’s got a regular cab with an ARB bumper, winch and OME suspension.

Stuff and things that make it better.
I sarted out with 881's with just the ARB bumper but switched to the 882's when I added the winch and skids. The 881's where great but sagged with the extra weight and I hit my bump stops much easier. No complaints with the 882's.

Are you seeing exactly 3inches of lift or close to it? Any aftermarkert UCA's?

What kind of weight are we talking with your bumper and winch?

I don't know what my before measurements where but I'd say I'm around 2.5", any more than that and your cv's start to scream. SPC UCA.
I'd guess 100lbs, then add 75 more for the skids.
