No, I work in IT, access management. I take public transportation for daily commute, it's free for me, company pays for it. The would not pay my parking costs in Seattle = about $340 per month. Further more driving a truck (I consider both vehicles trucks) is stupid in my eyes, I am not hauling book cases nor do I hit any off road trails during the week.
I do manage to get 22 mpg, honestly, I assume if this would do inner city it would go lower...
it's a V6 4L . every 2 months or so I add about 1/2 cup of Seafoam to the tanks of both vehicles. I assume it's just a placebo for my mind, the shop that maintains it said that it does not do anything good for motor nor mileage. but I still do it!

    You have a 3.4l v6 not a 4.0....that wasn't offered in Tacomas until 2005. Unless you or someone else swapped a 4.0L into a 2002

I will check it out when I get home on the paperwork, I do remember that at the registration it got re registered and licensed as a 4 Liter as they said it was a 1GR- FE , I even made a note of it in my phone, motor and not the original type they found on their computer, there was a slight discussion based on the VIN number but it got figured out fairly quickly. I do have to pay serious bucks here in WA for a tag but I guess that is not important here.

sounds like someone put the wrong info in when they were processing your paperwork most likely....they were probably familiar with the later model Tacomas and figured that's what you had. Definitely no 4.0 Tacos until 2005+

How is that so hard to believe? I have a '00 V6 auto 4x4 TRD, with 31" Duratracs and 195k miles and I regularly get 19-20 mpg with a spirited 70/30 hwy/city driving mix, not taking it all that easy. That's at Denver's altitude too. Never had less than 18 mpg's on a tank.

I just did a trip from Denver to Wyoming, all highway doing 80 mph and got 22.4 mpgs. Maybe don't drive (and act) like a dick and you'll get better mpg's.

I've done 22 mpg (might have been 21 and change but) back when I had stock wheels/ Eco pro tires and no lift. Scangauge & Math Gauge (calculator) confirmed on several occasions.

I registered on the Toyota website and checked the specs, it shows a 3.4 L , I guess I only heard the 4 when it got registered.I will have to remember when I pay for a new tab that I check what their computer says.... LOL . and the 22 is actually 21.3 mpg, same difference with the Land Rover, she only gets 10.3 mpg - I use an app called Gas Manager to keep track

    Jewel gets mostly highway miles

lol, so you have no actual first hand knowledge, but you're calling bullshit. Nice.

There are numerous threads talking about the gas mileage of these things. Some guys can't get 18 mpg's to save their life, while others can get 22 mpg's relatively easy. For me, I keep my Taco maintained properly, use cruise control every time I can, I rarely floor it, accelerate moderately (not fast, but not slow), and I keep my Duratrac's aired up to about 35 psi. A lot of guys run in their psi's in the mid 20's and that will eat away at your mpg's pretty quick.

    Educate yourself, son.

last point I'll make on this - the OP said his mileage is all highway. You've admitted you have no first hand knowledge of hwy mileage, yet you're calling bullshit. Shut up and sit down already....

Anyone know how easy it is to stack a Spindle Lift + Leveling kit [Front]
and a block in the back?

Looking to get around 6'-6.5 inches of lift, with 33s or 34s, wide.

I don't doubt it, my 2000 MT 4x4 V6 is getting right about 20 mpgs at every fill up with mostly city driving, and a few hwy trips on the way to trails.
