The wife says I need new headlights for obvious reasons. (ie 2002 Tacoma headlights) does anyone have any suggestions? I love keeping things stock but I’m open to anything that won’t put me over $150. Thanks in advance for any help.

FIW, You get what you pay for. I bought a set of what were likely Chinese aftermarket headlights and the light throw is a bit shadowy in parts.
But it is not enough to seriously reduce visibility. And on country roads I additionally run with my off road LEDs.
I think I paid $30-40 apiece for them whereas OEMs will be over $150 apiece.
For that extra money you get a better bulb and a more precisely engineered/polished reflector base.
I have had good luck buying lights from carid.com. They have a wide set of options for your 2002 Tacoma.

If not springing for OEM at least get a CAPA certified replacement.

Honestly had never heard of CAPA certifications, but was delighted to learn of the non-profit organization.
So I went to their website and checked for their approved headlight components and could find nothing for a 2002-2003 Tacoma.
    What am I missing?

The aftermarket ones don't hold up as well, the pair I have are still clear after about 8 years of use but whatever coating they put on the lens is peeling off.
