Bartmaster, I’ve got a 97 Tacoma with the 60/40 split bench, very rough shape and looking to replace. Local salvage yard has buckets from a 04 that look good but they say these are not compatible. They say that only 01 to 04 are compatible with the bucket seats. What can you tell me?

If you can do some modification (drilling/welding) there are so many options. Acura Integra seats are what I am looking for or maybe Honda Prelude. I was going for 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee seats but they were just a little too wide. Measure your stock and measure what you are putting in there. Best to go with something close in dimension.

No they will work. All seats of every model iteration within 1995-2004 will work. Worst case you have to drill pre-indented holes in the floor pan for bolts.

Nope. You need to make your own brackets.

If your old seat is rough just cut the mounts off and attach to the new seat. I did this to mount t100 seats in mine

I am of the opinion that 01-04 seats suck too. No support, very uncomfortable for long drives. I installed seats from a similar year 4-Runner, but they are not a bolt in swap- it takes a little work, but way more support.

Nice! I had an 89 Lude for about 10 years. Those are great seats if you can source them.
