Still a work in progress, but

Pioneer DEH80PRS up front - active crossovers & all processing through the HU...for now

I like that setup! How do you like that HU? I'm currently using an in dash EQ, wondering how much better that HU would sound.
Also, what did you use in your doors?

Thanks, I dig it too. This midwoofer/tweeter combo is amazing at any price - and it's pretty cheap.

The HU is great. SQ can't be beat for under a grand & it's capable of handling an active 3-way with a decent graphic EQ and T/A. With zero signal it's totally silent to full volume. It really is a nice head unit.

In the doors I'm using - from the inside out... SDS CLD Tiles in the door card, 1/16" neoprene foam, 1/8" MLV, more neoprene, then more CLD Tiles on door skin. Doors sealed with CLD Tiles. They're pretty dead.

Yeah, the Pioneer would definitely give you more in the EQ department. Almost forgot - one more thing that sets it apart is the independent left & right EQ. That's just hard to find in a head unit and again no others I know of under a grand will do it. Err and a separate 24 bit Burr Brown D/A converter for each pair of channels.

I ordered a 80PRS yesterday. Jet.com has a $40 off $250 coupon on electronics so it ended up being a decent deal

Yeah, that's far and away the best price. I got mine from Jet. You don't get the factory warranty with it, but you can return it if it doesn't work. Got my MRX-M55 there too. They're discontinued, but Jet had (has?) new old stock.
