i want to convert to chevy 63” leafs in the rear and keep my set up sua but i do not want to chop into my bed. I have a 5 lug tacoma, and will like to have the rear sit about same hight as a trd pre runner or maybe an 1” or 2” higher. I figured i can go with the low range off road chevy 63” conversion kit but that is for soa so I figured I will use there mounts and then get bigger shakles. Question is what length shackle will i need? And size shock that will give me good travel but no need chop into my bed, because im not looking for crazy amounts of travel. Just a nicer riding truck off road

Why not get 62" deavers designed to be sua? If it's the price getting in the way there's some good deals that come up on here and race-dezert among other sites (dezert rangers, offer up, CL...) that you could end up with a much more tried and true setup for only the price increase of the deavers over the 63" springs since you're going to be doing everything else custom.

I head deavers wernt designed to really carry a load in the bed, the 63” were better for that. But i do like the deavers, heard they stand up better to high tourqe, i plan to SC one day. Are they interchangeable? Or if i go one route i can just swap over to the other?

There's been a good bit of discussion about all that here:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/long-travel-bs-thread.109317/page-3679#post-17626446

There's a bunch of info for the next few pages. TLDR: Deavers are going to come in 2 basic options - the F67's which have good weight holding capacity for some, but not for others. H70's (also called E30's) which you can order direct have more load bearing build into them. Both would be paired with 12" shackles above the frame and new spring hangers in front. Tons of info is available on here, but it isn't centralized very well. With either set you can just do shock hoops in the wheel wells which will limit your travel to 12" or less, but saves you trying to keep water and such out of your bed. Here's a good example of that and all the trials that go along with it on a first gen.

Here's another thread on here that I put a few links in, too:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/rear-setup-first-gen.543193/

And here's all the goodies you can buy from Total Chaos if you aren't going to make any of them yourself. The shackles and front spring hangers are probably the most worth it.

Feel free to jump in on the LT BS thread. There's a couple guys building first gens including me.

That's a pretty good description of what a lot of guys have used their trucks for at least temporarily. Here's a list of some really well-documented builds that could have things you may learn from. They may not be exactly what you're going for, but there's a lot of info in setups you could get well-acquainted with.

Lol all good, im looking to not build a bed bed cage and punch throw my bed to mount shocks. Not yet atleast lol, still gotta keep my truck practial as a DD. Being a 5lug i dont have to modify my axel because it’s already set up for sua. I just need to change the location of my spring perches, TC seems to make nice parts for going the deaver route. I wonder if i can just run 12” travel fox shocks on the oem mounting points.

Check out the second build I posted in that last one. That's probably the one that will give you the most variations from stock to where he's at now in terms of shock placement and spring setups.
