Just going to throw this in there as our configurations are almost similar. If I remember right, and can see correctly, I have that port capped and the port next to it routed to I think what it’s called is the FPR.

So in layman’s terms it should be like this...I don’t want to tell you how to route it but clearly there’s still an issue with vacuum. And yes the “black thing” is the FPR just to confirm. You said the s/c was connected that way from previous owner...perhaps it came off a Cali spec truck. Therefore routing would be different.

Currently the barb on the top of the supercharger is running down to my engine and is connected to the fuel regulator... so what do I do with that? I do not have the FMU installed. 9441542413_7dab6e84fc_z.jpg

I don't see where the black FPR is connected to a fuel line anywhere

It’s weird because this diagram, which I also possess as I showed earlier, is NOT the actual 100% diagram to our years. It was initially made for 4runners of certain years. Memory is a little fuzzy - but bottom line was I had to figure out what was going to work for my 03 truck.

Which barb are you referring to? I guess another question is what is that port that I x’d out routing to currently?

The port you x out is routing to the fuel rail on the engine. Here is a pic from when I was installing the supercharger Screenshot_20180819-193523_Gallery.jpg

You can do that. The FPR and the vacuum port / barb on the sc had been discussed back on customtacos and it's how it was connected here on a 3rd gen 4runner:

That's the video I used to install the SC. Unfortunately Sean has a different TB and his air intake is different.

The FPR doesn't relate to the throttle body. I hooked my FPR up to the vacuum boost barb in the back of the sc also.

Haha. Yea I was a little unclear in my response. I was just saying that the vacuum lines he runs are different then mine. I am thinking that you both are right. Maybe I need to T off the fuel line from the FPR to the black thing on the SC and the boost barb?

Did you get a p0171 code? Are you running the 7th injector? Did you always have the 7th injector?

No. Where does that go? Is that for 4x4 only?

I have 4x4 and it runs from fast idle to barb off supercharger then the one way valve then over by the
charcoal canister somewhere, have to look.
But I have EGR not sure if that makes a difference with the one way valve.

Thanks. I do not have a 4x4. So I was thinking that I didnt need that but if you can show me where it runs to I could try to replicate your setup.

The hose ends up in a vacuum type switch, I’m not sure if the 2001 are the same as 1997.
I don’t know if all the superchargers use the one way check valve, the installation paper shows it through And I have one

It’s right below and across by the alternator on the inner wheel well by the exhaust header kind of or where the hard fuel line connects to the rubber fuel line

Yeah that hose with the blue thing was for 97-00 trucks and related 4runners for the 4x4 since it was vacuum actuated. The newer ones 01-04 that have ADD didn’t have the need for it.

Also for OP, the IAC check valve was not initially a provided part for TRD s/c kits, however was later offered by TRD as a “remedy” kinda like TSBs. I use one and HIGHLY recommend getting one as it will prevent the truck from “hiccuping” when going into boost - giving instant power. It is installed by cutting a hose by the throttle body and inserting it. I’ll find my pics.
