I wouldnt do it that way if I would start over now, but I never had any big problems with it.

    an to the OP

We installed 5100s with TRD coils on a non TRD 95 last week with the progressing rate AAL from Wheelers and it turned out really nice.

Those 5100s are a nifty setup, I wish they had them when I was building my 99

ha ha ive always wondered who owned that truck. so a set of 5100's and eibach coils will give enought room to stuff 33's? im not worried about gettin the hammer and saw out to it.

and 17 year old bought that truck from me 6 years ago, and wrecked it about 3 months later. it is still running around, but the hood and bumper are back to stock.

as long as they are not super wide and the wheel offset is right, you might get away with it

my wheels have a 0 offset i think and a 4 inch backspacing and it would be a 275/70/18. which comes out to a 33.16" tall and 10.83" wide.

What all determines how far your tires stick out? I know the backspace is one factor. What do I need to look for if I don't want them to stick out real wide? I don't mind them sticking out of the fender wells some.

Heres my 02 I use to have. 3" lift with 285/75/R16's only rubed a hair. Just did some trimming and the pinch weld mod, and was good to go.
You could get the Toytec coilovers and set to 2.25" lift and be good, as long as you have a diff. drop. But thats the max.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

The offset keep it close to 0 but if you go with 12.5's you might run into problems with a 0 offset.

My wheels had a 4" Back Spacing and I think a -11 offset...

Yeah and they don't stick out to far.

    I have 3.74" back spacing and a -44mm offset and I'm sticking out quite a bit. And I'm on a 10" rim

6" Fabtech Suspension lift. Headers with dual exhaust. Flowmaster muflers. Engine Computer chip. Tiregate with spare tire. Mickie's TTC Claws 315/75R/16 tires. Dick Cepec DC II wheels. Shrockwork front winch bumper. 8,000 Lb Warn Winch. Heavy duty leaf springs. K&N cool air intake. Sprayed bed liner. Bushwacker flare fenders. 1/2" Steel plated rear bumper.
When I 1st bought my 04 it had a leveling kit and they still rubbed with 33's. If you're not going off road then a 3" body lift would be the way to go. It's a lot cheaper.
