    Thanks.

I wouldn't call them shock fitment issues as much as I'd call them "not knowing how to properly position the mounts" issue, hahahahaha. Got it all sorted though after cutting off the first attempt. Was an awesome learning experience and fun write-up to be posted in the future.

Made it! Cut it from a chunk of bar stock, then machined the recess for the bolt head and drilled a hole through the middle.

Finished up. Going to try and get some better pictures tomorrow. That or I’ll be heading out to Slash-X to beat on it a bit.

Fair enough. Just thought that wobbly cut was funny next to such a clean shock setup

No rubbing at all today. It really will only rub at aggressive articulation. I’m going to throw it up on the forklift tomorrow and flex it out.

Awesome. Do you think that you could have gone to a 12"shock or are you still pretty happy with the 10"?

I’m happy with the 10’s. The front will only cycle 9”, and the J59’s will only realistically cycle 10” anyways. 12’s would be cool and all, but added expense for a questionable amount of return. This kit with a SUA swap on 12’s would be rad mated with a long travel front.

I wish there was a +2 kit for the first gen.

Do your shocks bottom out when the bump stop engages? my eyeball ruler is telling me that's really close.

How much an angle are you leaning the shock toward foward? Not to concerned about rubbing since the axle will be 68"wms but would like to run a hydro bump off the frame as well.

No, they don't (any more; I got the mount positioning wrong the first time I did it). There's an extra inch of shock shaft compared to the bump. And the bump compresses up to .7" so I should always have a 1/4" of additional shock travel on the uptravel side, and it turns out to be similar on the downtravel end.

Likely, your eyeball ruler works the same as mine - there are rubber bumpers on the bottom of the shock shafts that make the shafts look shorter. TBD if I leave those installed or not.
