Ryno All Terrain Products is offering skid plates for 1st gen Tacomas and 3rd gen 4Runners.

There is one major change from what was offered previously. The transmission skid is now shorter to allow a Skid Row transfer case skid to fit with it. I no longer provide the hemmed rear lip on the transmission skid.

    Details:
3/16" high strength A36 steel plate (1/4" for $30 extra per piece)
    50 pounds a piece
    Factory mounting holes
Cutout for engine oil drain plug
    Replaces factory skid plates
Not painted - maybe upon request (don't know pricing)
    Stainless hardware is included
*Will need spacers or a stack of washers and longer bolts for a diff drop like all other vendors. Not provided*

The price is $230 plus shipping for each piece. If you want just an IFS skid with extra steel to cover the steering rack, $40 extra. $XXX for a set!

I will take a $200 deposit before manufacturing and ship the skid when I receive full payment. Manufacturing time is 1-2 weeks.

Shipping will be fedex ground. Pay by paypal, cash, check.

For rough shipping cost estimates on a set:
    Colorado: $55
    California: $70
    Massachusetts: $65
    Florida: $65
    Texas: $55
    Kentucky: $55

I have shipped several orders now and had no issues with fitment or other potential problems.

The skids are produced with no cutout as standard, but if you would like a cutout (such as TRD shown in the pics), I can do anything you would like for $25 extra.

Email me at fasttacoma@gmail.com if you don't have an acct here but want skids.

It mounts to the factory location, so if the mount is in the same location as the original, it would. Send a PM to Blackdawg, he purchased a skid and has an elite bumper. Not sure if it's on the same truck but worth asking.

I put my elite on yesterday....the front skid will not fit back on. May be due to the placement of the skid mount tabs on the bumper. I have to do some cutting, but it'll fit when I'm done.

I didn't do any before and after measuring but I think the tabs on the bumper are higher (increased approach angle), thus throwing the skids out of whack. The corners of the side bends are now hitting on my alignment cams, and the front lip (where mount holes are) is too wide to fit between bumper and radiator. I'm going to have to trim the front lip to narrow it out, and trim off the corners of the side bends. Not a HUGE undertaking. I think the mounts are simply higher like I said, to achieve that better angle.

Edit: So I just wanted to edit this with an update. I had to take about .5" off the front lip for the front skid to fit between the elite front bumper and the radiator. I also had to cut a small portion of the rear most corner of the support bend on the front skid. This portion was hitting the alignment cams on the LCA. Total time spent on modifying was about 60 mins total which included repainting the newly cut portions and dry time. I had to get some longer M8's for the front three bolts and had to get some nuts to go with. All in all...with the price point you offer on these skids, it's well worth the slight mod I had to do to make them bolt on. Still an awesome product you have.

Bump. Sold a 1/8" rack coverage skid. Yes, I do those too. They make great stock replacement for a daily driver. $210 per piece, $35 for steering rack coverage.

This is all I offer. I don't sell enough to invest more in r & d. Skid row makes a nice transfer case skid.

Great skids at a nice price point. I put them to good use a few weeks ago and they held up great. I didn't even bother to paint them since I'm planning on selling the truck very soon.

Thanks Vin! Glad they worked out!

Here's some pics from another customer that was pleased with the strength and coverage.

Finished the transfer case skid. The skids I will sell will be bent, not welded. This was just the prototype. It will mount with self tapping screws into the underside of the frame.
