No shit. I don't know how old the OP is but he's a LOT younger than I am. I remember those days. Kudo's to what he is doing. Luckily, there are "youngins'" in this country still able and wanting to take on a project like his and willing to do the hard work necessary. Ya ain't gonna find that in LA. For the most part.

I am not a fan of Dave Ramsey but I will admit he has some VERY good advice from a financial standpoint when it comes to dealing with finances. Especially for young people. He's a real god guy to listen to. Debt, as he points out, is pure evil. Stay away from it.

I'm 20. You're right, there aren't many of us hard workers around. So hoping one day one of those lazy millennial fellas will buy this truck when I want to move on.

Currently I'm working at a manufacturing plant doing the job that I love. I don't see myself restoring for a living.
The time it takes to do this kind of thing is tremendous! I was a student/part time working when I started this project and now am full time so weekends are the only days I get to work on this.
And if I were to get paid the same rate as the job I have now, it would cost customers a fortune just for my hourly labor.

The "know how" all came from researching on TW, google, YouTube and common sense.
The hard part is organizing all these parts/bolts/pieces so that you know where they go when you pick up on it 3 months later!
And also, money. Don't ever have enough!
I'll be posting my total cost for this whole thing at the very end.

Thank GOD (and I'm not religious in any way) some of you "intelligent" millennial's are out there. Up until recently, I though almost all of you you were just lazy, dumbassed freeloaders thinking you're entitled to everyone else's paychecks.

Hopefully, you're an American through and through like other "millenials" I have met over the past few years.

American I am but immigrated here from Europe, so I grew up in a struggling household with a dad who worked 24/7 on 3 different money making hobbies to help his large family. I can't live up to that standard, but I think some of that is in my blood. Thankfully.
Now I'm not saying that American born millenials are all that way, but majority are.

im 25 and a lot of people talk shit about millennials (which i think is warranted) but every generation eventually grows out of it. the baby boomer don't like millennials because they are lazy and entitled but baby boomers were the same https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR8aFDosQBQ

Grow out of it? I know people in their 50's and 60's that still think they are owed everything. Some people spend their entire lives thinking they are entitled and with these newer millennials there are "far" more of them per capita than previous generations.

Looks like so much fun, I can't wait for the day I have a shop I can tear a whole vehicle to shreds and put it back together. Nice work!

Truth in the debt statement, debt just makes you a slave to the lender. Do your best to stay out of it or use it very sparingly. Much more freedom on the other side when your not stuck to a monthly payment.
