I noticed the dog before I noticed the tire. LOL

I'm new to the forum, so I'm browsing threads, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the work you've done, rebuilding that truck!

    Any more updated pics?

Installed my struts on Friday night after looking at 3 different places to compress my springs and install the shocks!
$18 per strut. Fairly good price!
Put them on and also installed the rear 5125.
I have to get new springs or just AAL to get my rear higher.
Got alignment done today for $80.
Drives good! Still needing some things but I'm tried of working on it so I needed to drive it to get my spirit up! Let me know what y'all think!

Solid work. Just of of curiousity though, why did you update the front end? Probably just my worthless opinion, but the 98-00 front ends look better than the 01-04. Subbed for future pics...

Well, I figured if I have to replace all of those parts, might as well make it the face lift I wanted. I don't like the square headlights or grill on the 98-00.
    My preference is the 01-04

I'm liking that cement paint job. Been wanting to paint my truck before long and can't decide on a color lol. First I was set on quicksand, but the more I looked at cement the more I like it. But then I saw a the new calvary blue and thought about going a shade or 2 darker with it.

Awesome work! I like the color combined with the black wheels. Stance looks sweet with the 5100's and 265/75's

calvary blue? is that some newer truck paint color? you have any photos of trucks with that color. I will tell you my honest opinion: i love the paint job too, but its just too deceiving!! you would think it looks more of a flat grey sorta scion tc grey color but its more of a blue! a little darker than the color of "Post Reply" on TW site. good luck with your project!

Dang, this is some really impressive work! I'm really wishing that I had access to the kind of friend/tool power you had to get this done! Way to go! Any finished shots??

Push that shell forward an inch or so, looks like it's hanging off the back  should close that gap pretty nicely. Gray looks good!

Can you help me understand how the cab is attached to the frame? Is it a bolt inside the cab that needs to be held to tighten it down?

These are some finished shots (not completely finished but enough to drive it and put some work in with it!)
Mirror is installed now, I've been busy at my job so lazy to put more work into her. Need new leaf springs too, these are shot! Wish I woulda noticed earlier..
You have 4 bolts inside the cab holding down the cab in all 4 corners. Just hold one side with wrench and the take the nut side off with an impact.
Also 2 bolts that go through the radiator support into the 2 frame rails in front. You'll have to take the bumper off to get to them.

Beautiful job! A millennial will be stoked to buy that from you some day if you sell ;) haha
That color is awesome! It looked weird when painting but it turned out fantastic.
    Good job man!

Man, what a good build and finished product, it takes work to tear things down, but the real trick is putting it back together right as you did here. I thought I was the only one who bought totally trashed trucks and worked endless hours to make them new again! Keep up the good work and way to go on brushing off some of these negative comments. Most people cant do what you've just done here!

Appreciate it! Well, I'm here too. In the end it was worth it..but when I think back..it's only worth it if you learn something from it.

Hey, does anyone have any suggestions as to which Leaf spring setup I should go with? I haven't looked into any yet but I hate that my stock ones are so worn out! I have a 2" shackle in the back and 5125 shocks in the rear. Also, thinking of going with old man EMU springs in the front. I hate the stock springs, they suck with Holstein 5100 in the front. Going to take it down for suspension work when it gets a little warmer and I have my week off.
