Hey I’m having issues with power to my horn on my 1996 Tacoma. I checked the fuse it looked in good shape but replaced anyways as a just in case. I got a new horn but didn’t fix the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is a picture of the horn and cord that I am having issues with. Everything plugs in just fine without issue

Scan.jpg Use a VOM and check each wire for +12 volts while somebody operates the horn. I've included a diagram from the 1998 wiring manual.

I have no working horn either...I read here on TW that it may be a clockspring failure.
I think the clockspring may be the problem for my airbag as well.
I will report back when I get it sorted out.

your new horns need a separate ground that is why they don`t work.

The stock horns ground through the bolt .

They have a two wire harness. nothing to lose give it a try.

Either that your not getting a good ground through the hardware.

I've had clockspring failure before. This cause my horn, cruise control, and airbag to stop working. Might wanna look into that. Maybe look for donor cars or a junkyard. For me I was lazy and bit the bullet buying the whole 400 dollar electrical steering assembly from toyota.
