Ok so i have a 2001 tacoma and and need some advice on what to do with my rear suspension. Its all stock for now and only has 35,000 miles on it!!

First thing i want to do is get some softer springs but what kind????? Because i live in L.A. i do mostly highway and street driving but ill go off road whenever i get a chance so a few times a month.

Also, i will occasionally load it up so I'm thinking about adding some airbags for whenever i need them...

Lastly i have a question on what kind of rear shocks i should look into but mostly PLACEMENT! I've seen them on other tacomas mounted over the differential in a triangle shape, others on the outside of the frame behind the tires and all sorts of different spots. What do those placements been at far as travel and response?

Thanks in advance for the help!

first off, your not allowed to post about having a 35k miles first gen and not post a picture :)

but if your not going to be racing through the desert ot flexing out, just use the stock shock locations with a nice set of shocks like 5100s or OME.
