Finished installing my passenger side plate XtraCab. Had to figure some things out, and the video was super helpful, and Jonny 9Fingers/@mechanicjon was very, very helpful.Helped me solve a unique problem. All praise to this guy for doing this. Now, on to do the driver's side.

I did not have to add any screws for stability. To those who suggested using tape or rivets instead of the added screws: that might be o.k. IF you never want to remove the cover again but with screws one can remove and replace the cover more easily!

Also, I removed my seat and worked on it on a bench; this allowed greater access and less back ache. I also used the opportunity to spot-clean and thoroughly shampoo the passenger seat and passenger side carpeting. If you do this, be certain to torque down the 4 seat bolts when putting the seats back in. My Chilton Guide says: "Torque: 37 N-m (375 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf)". Your values may be different.

    EDIT/UPDATE:
Completed installing the driver's side plate on my 2000 Xtracab. Some things I/we learned:
The how-to video specifies using a 1/4" bolt, and drilling a hole for it. And @mechanicjon has just pointed out, that instruction is good for 1996-2000 Extracabs.

For the 2001+ models you remove the existing 5/16" bolt and replace it in that hole with the 5/16" hardware and instructions that @mechanicjon provided. That explains why the hardware kit included 5/16" hardware, and not 1/4" as in the video.

I have my own 1/4" hardware, so I drilled a 1/4" hole and used my 1/4" hardware, as in the video. One change I made, instead of the 1" long bolts provided I used 1/4" x 3/4" bolts.

The part 1 video shows (at 6:21) sliding the plate over the bolt and then sliding the hook over the edge of the track. On the passenger side, I found that impossible because lifting one end with the hook caused the other end to bump down against the track, so I could not complete the operation. So on the passenger side I installed the hook first, and slightly deformed the plate to pry it over the bolt. That explains why on the driver's side I used a shorter 1/4" bolt (3/4" long, not 1"). This made it a little easier to pry/force the plate over the bolt after sliding the hook over the edge of the track. Bolting it down eliminates any deformation.

If you err slightly in position where you drill the hole (like I did),you may find it impossible to "temporarily install the back screw" (at 6:34 in video Part 1) It is a fairly simple solution to just enlarge the hole slightly, to give you some "play", then you tighten the plate down in place. You can also enlarge the hole in the plate for the back screw a little, which gives you a little more play to reach the threads in the track unit.

I am going to copy all this to the "comments" with the video part 1. Maybe it will help someone.

It appears there is a difference between the passenger seat tracks from 1996-2000 and 2001-2004. One the 2001+ models you'll will replace this bolt with the supplied one. The older ones you will still have to drill a hole.

If you have the gray plastic trim, you may need to know this: Patch (2).jpg Patch (1).jpg
The hole for the screw that holds the seat trim side cover to the seat rail was damaged, and the screw would not hold the cover on.
I used a slightly longer screw, and a fender washer, to cover the damage and hold the cover.
I sprayed the fender washer with Plasti Dip Multi-Purpose Rubber Coating in the color Gunmetal Gray and it camouflages the fender washer pretty well.
    Source for coating: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Plasti-Dip-11-oz-GunMetal-Gray-Rubber-Coating-Spray-11221-6/203533053
This makes me wonder, maybe I should coat the entire seat trim side cover with the Plasti Dip, for cosmetic reasons. Any opinions?
