I realize theirs already a lot on this stuff, but I was looking more toward exterior and interior rather than performance upgrades. I'm not talking about 500$ fender flares either... things like painted grills or plasti dipped emblems

    Plasti Dip is an upgrade?

If you're talking about appearance, "upgrade" is in the eye of the beholder. There is one I plan on doing and that is the bed liner treatment to the plastic fender flares à la @cbechtold. I used Rust-Oleum Truck Bed Coating. It produces a very nice finish. I ran across his build a while ago, long before I joined TW. I actually have a bit of a truck crush on his rig.

I love these "I want to upgrade my truck, tell me what to do" threads...

You're going to get everything form led headlight "upgrades" to off road bumpers, lifts, and dipping the whole truck in plasti-dip.

Dude, you need to be more specific in your needs if you want anything useful.

Just do like I do and get lost in the DIY sticky (1st gen page). There's hundreds of pages (including all the links) of some really cool (and some not so cool) ideas...

Also the "what have you done to your 1st gen?" sticky... Lots and lots and lots of stuff there, too.

Guess I'll put my 2¢ in...

If you're looking for simple stuff to do. I'd recommend the following...

    - bedline fender flares
    - bedline trim and mirror housings
    - color match grill
    - blackout/color match the chrome of the bumpers
    - swap running boards out for rock sliders
    - debadge

If you want to go the extra mile, I'd recommend a 3" lift kit and 33s.

If you're going to do anything first, please go with the rock sliders. I've lost count of how many times people have just slammed their doors into my truck and the rock sliders have saved my doors from any dings.

at least give a picture of your truck, and SOME direction. There are way too many mods conceivable. If you are that bored, you could spend your free time searching the forum for every possible mod ever conceived. If you are really bored, invent a new mod no ones ever done before and tell everyone.

Or, don't search, post a new and cool mod you invented, and have the first post be a link to the build thread form 5 years ago... :)

They should have it, but if not, they're called fender flare gaskets.

On the 00's they are called "flare pads" and all 4 take the same part number....75696-35020
    from Camelback Toyota...
