Anybody have pics of a 1st green with nerf bars on it? I'm specifically looking for how they are mounted and the brackets. I have got a set of brand new Westin bars with no brackets. Not even sure what the bars were for.

My truck when I first got it in full Grandpa mode. The nerf bars and grill guard came off pretty much right after I got home from the dealer.

Imo, nerf bars just look weird on 1st gens. Full size trucks can pull em off, but a small truck cant in my opinion cause it makes them appear lower. The minute I took those off it looked like I lifted the truck.

Do the mounts underneath mount to body? That's what I'm trying to find out.

it depends on the brand of step, there are different ways to mount them. some mount to body mounts, others mount to frame/cross-member

found a pic of how mine mount (these are the shorter versions, not mine specifically). the L mount goes to the front trans cross-member and the other one goes around the frame
