    I heard that PPG is pretty much the standard. I also heard that some shops use cheaper paints so that they can quote a cheaper price. I would inquiry with the shop to see.

    Dipyourcar.com Did mine in a few hours over the weekend. Prep work was the most time consuming. Came out great. Been a year since I've done it. It has held up great. Oh yeah, cost me about $300 to do it, my buddy had the gun so that saved me roughly $250. But yeah. Great product, pretty self-explanatory tutorials, and easy enough that a luddite like me was able to do it.

    I was planning on ordering that as well. Besides masking off what other prep work did you do? Any sanding or special cleaning?

    Nothing special. I did wet sand the roof because there was some hail damage that had caused the paint to chip and rust in the some areas, but for the body, fenders, and frame there wasn't anything I did other than wash it and let it dry real good.
