Looking to install a system in my 98 xtra cab. I don't like sacrificing quality for room or price necessarily so if anyone has $0.02 to offer from their experience I would appreciate it.

I'm not sure what sub's would be best. I wouldn't mind the space that dual 10's would take, but i'm not sure if that's what's best for me.

I typically listen to rock, country, and quality music where I want good sounding bass not that crap that makes people think i have a large pecker...

I also was thinking of installing two extra 6x9 3ways, or possibly just tweeters? to accommodate the four stock speaker.

I'm in no position to be designing a system like this myself and would be more than willing to compensate anyone for their time and effort. Whether it be building a couple of boxes for you (mdf / poplar) or whatever else a carpenter can assist with.

The truck already has an amp, alpine speakers/deck but I would prefer to replace everything and start from scratch. I'm getting a secondary battery for the lights/wench/audio.. FYI

    Thanks in advance ALL!

Have you tried going thru some info pages on www.crutchfield.com they have a lot of good info on systems and sell absolutely everything you'll need to install yourself.
