could be multiple different things. Does it crank? Do the lights dim and flicker while cranking if able to? If it does not crank at all or struggles to and dies then it could be battery or starter. If it does crank and the lights do not flicker or dim then it could be the fuel pump. Fuel, electricity, ignition are the 3 routes you want to look into

    Welcome.

    Simple, fuel and spark.

If jumping it solves it, test the battery elsewhere. Then your charging system ,etc. Sometimes it could be as simple as a ground.

If jumping doesn't start it up, start looking at fuses/relays that are fuel related before going into the fuel pump. Afterward fuel pressure, and if that's good, then the fuel filter and so forth.

I suggest you proof read your posts before submitting a reply btw.

Wow, you really have a way with words... did you make this a poll on purpose?

The sparse details you’ve given, it could be a billion different things.

Does it crank, but wont start?

Does it click, but won’t turn over?

Does anythig happen when you turn the key?

Couple other tips. You’re in the first gen section, so your chosen title is superfluous, and not descriptive at all.

There is also a search feature which you may find someone who has had a similar issue, and don’t need to wait for people to post a possible solution.

Mr. Obvious would say, "are you using the proper key'', it has happened to me on a couple occasions

A few years ago I was in Ely NV with an almost empty tank. I put the key in the fuel fill cover and tried to turn it, but no go. There I was 400 miles from home, and couldn't get the damn door open. :angrygirl:

Turned out that I had the right key, but for some reason (probably terminal senility) I was turning it clockwise instead of counter-clockwise. Boy was I relieved when I finally figgered it out.

i have only had problem opening fuel tank door once, but that was because of the freezing drizzle had coated that side with a sheet of ice, low on fuel but close to home. luckily the gas station had some OVERPRICED lock de-icer and saved the day! ... only used that stupid bottle once
