Anybody know where the "camshaft position sensor " plugs into on my 1998 Toyota Tacoma 3.4 l V6 ? Right now it is attatched to a bracket . There is a plug that must plug into the camshaft position sensor but, i can not find it. I never took it apart . Im just trying to get it back together after i replaced the head gasket.

Not sure if this will help, but the circled censor is the camshaft sensor and the plug runs behind the metal backing plate behind the camshafts. So if it got unplugged and you took the backing plate off it could have fallen behind it. Im not exactly sure what you were asking I guess, is the sensor bolted in place like the picture but no electrical plug running to it? Do you have a picture of your engine? Would make it a lot easier to tell what you’re trying to ask about.
